The St. David's Emergency Center in Bastrop has reopened after a temporary closure due to a water outage.
The emergency reopened at midnight Saturday.
Chief executive officer Todd Steward released the following statement:
"The St. David's Emergency Center in Bastrop has transitioned to a backup water supply, and water has been restored to the facility. As such, the emergency center is expected to reopen at midnight.
A reserve water tank is providing the center with purified water that is suitable for drinking. The backup water tank is capable of providing the emergency center with clean water for several days while city crews work to ensure Bastrop's water supply is safe.
Once the center reopens, the emergency center will be fully operational, and medical staff will be ready to treat patients 24/7."
