A San Marcos man has been arrested on charges of possession of child pornography, police said.

According to a press release issued from the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, Ernesto Baldivia was arrested after officers received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The release states that after executing a search warrant at Baldivia’s address on the 200 block of Bridlewood, officers recovered an extensive collection of child pornography that had been received and uploaded via the internet. Police said this criminal activity was traced back to the occupant of the residence.
