Medics responded to multiple incidents involving synthetic drugs in Downtown Austin Sunday afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

Initially reported at 12:40 p.m., authorities responded to the 700 block of the service road of North Interstate 35, where ATCEMS said they evaluated a total of nine patients dealing with the effects of synthetic drugs.

Two men were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center.

ATCEMS said this was the second case involving multiple synthetic drug patients Sunday.
