AUSTIN – A man was struck and killed in southeast Austin Monday morning, Austin-Travis County EMS said.

According to EMS, medics responded to the intersection of East Stassney Lane and Nuckols Crossing Road shortly before 6 a.m. Oct. 16 for the reported crash. A man believed to be in his 30s died at the scene.

Austin police say they are speaking with someone regarding the crash, and that it is not being considered a hit and run as of Monday morning. The intersection was closed for more than an hour while authorities investigated the crash, but it has since reopened.

The name of the man killed has not been released, pending notification of his family.
