A man has been accused of attacking his friend for not giving him the keys to drive home drunk, police said.

The suspect, Ronald Lee Johnson, 24, allegedly was trying to drive home after a day of drinking with an acquaintance on Sept. 4. Johnson and the victim made a plan to take an Uber home for the night in order to be safe, police said. However around 10:30 that night, Johnson allegedly started demanding for his car keys back from the victim. He then allegedly punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground, police said.

According to an arrest affidavit, Johnson then took his keys and drove home. Police said the victim was transported to Dell Seton hospital later that night, where he had jaw surgery.

Johnson has been charged with aggravated assault with a bond set at $30,000.
