As you may know, setting off fireworks within Austin's city limits is illegal. So this leaves the question: Where do I go to see Fireworks on the Fourth of July in Austin?

The Austin Fire Department has granted firework permits to a few locations in the Austin area.

Monday, July 3rd

"Annual Avery Ranch Fireworks Show"

Location: Avery Ranch Golf Course with best viewing area from the amenity center: 10121 Morgan Creek Dr.

Cost: Free

Fireworks begin around 9:00 p.m.

"Independence Day Party"

Location: Lost Creek Country Club, 2612 Lost Creek Blvd.

Cost: $15 for club members and $20 cash only for non-members

Starts at 5:30 p.m.

Fireworks around 9:45 p.m.

Food trucks, inflatables, jazz band and DJ. No outside food or drink allowed.

"10th Annual Stars and Stripes Celebration"

Location: Grey Rock Golf Course, 7401 State Highway 45

Cost: $15 for non-member adults and children under 10 don't need a ticket – tickets available in the pro shop at the country club.

Parking $5

Starts at 6:00 p.m.

Fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

Local food vendors, full bar service, and live music by Alan Lemk – No outside food or drink allowed.

"Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa 4th of July Celebration"

Location: Barton Creek Omni Resort

Cost: $11-$80+

Enjoy barbecue, live entertainment, fireworks and hill country views from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A Glow Jam will be available for children ages 4-12 with rock wall climbing, magic shows, a dance party and more while parents can sit back and enjoy the food. Reservations required.

Tuesday, July 4th

"H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks"

Location: Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores)

Cost: free

Begins at 8:30 p.m. with a performance from Austin Symphony Orchestra

Fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

"Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic"

Location: Circuit of the Americas

Cost: Varies based on seating

Begins at 11 a.m. with musical performances beginning at noon

Fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

"Red, White n' Buda Independence Day Celebration"

Location: Main Street (Downtown Buda)

Begins at 9 a.m. with a children's parade filled with decorative bicycles, wagons and unique kids' floats. Enjoy free activities for kids and awards for best-decorated bicycles.

Cost: Free

Fireworks begin at 9:30.

"Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival"

Location: The Pfield at 1440 W. Pecan

Stadium and food trucks open at 5 p.m. Concerts from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. by The BlueBonnets and SkyRocket! Mayor Gonzales will give a welcome and present the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance at 8:50 p.m.

Fireworks begin around 9:15 p.m., with more music to follow.

Free on-site parking available at the stadium with overflow at Pflugerville High School.

"Leander Liberty Fest"

Location: Capital Metro Leander Station

Cost: Free

A family-friendly event from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. including live music, food and craft vendors, and fireworks.

Fireworks begin around 9 p.m.

Parking available at H-E-B Plus and other designated lots.


Location: Katherine Fleischer Park

Cost: Free

A short parade will begin at 10 a.m. Afternoon entertainment under the big tent, concessions from local restaurants, and community service groups offering a variety of items and activities for the kids. The KF pool will be open and free to the public as well.

"Independence Day Celebration"

Location: Hill Country Galleria

Cost: Free

Enjoy a day-long sidewalk sale and live music from The Watters and Vallejo beginning at 6:30 p.m. Emceed by Sun Radio 100.1 FM.

Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m.

"4th of July Parade and Celebration"

Location: Elizabeth Milburn Park

Cost: Free

A parade begins at 10 a.m. Enjoy live music, bingo, a washer tournament, air castles, watermelon, carnival games, face painting, rides and fireworks from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

"Round Rock July 4th Frontier Days Celebration & Sertoma July 4th Parade"

Location: Old Settlers Park

Cost: Free

A parade, fireworks, carnival rides, jalapeno pepper eating contest, pig races, children's games and a movie in the park ("The Lego Batman Movie"). Begins at 10 a.m.

Fireworks begin at dark.

"San Marcos SummerFest"

Location: San Marcos Plaza Park

Enjoy a children's parade and patriotic costume contest, live music from Adam Johnson Band and Wyzer, and a fireworks show. The event begins at 6 p.m.

Free parking available at the Public Library and Activity Center, City Park and Texas State's Strahan Coliseum.

Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

"Bastrop Patriotic Festival"

Location: Fisherman's Park

Fireworks are tentative to each event.
