A Central Texas woman recovering from a gunshot wound after she was shot during a concert in Las Vegas, received a presidential surprise in her hospital room Wednesday.

While dressed in her hospital gown, Danae Gibbs, 23, smiled and snapped a picture with President Donald Trump, who was in town visiting victims of the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

Gibbs was one of more than 500 people injured Sunday night after Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd of people from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

According to Gibbs' mother DeDe Kellicker, the 23-year-old was shot in the abdomen and had a piece of her small intestine removed during surgery.

Kellicker said Gibbs has been removed from everything except an IV, but it's still unknown when she will be released.
