The First Baptist Church of New Braunfels has set up a Tragedy Relief Fund for donations to the families of the 13 people killed in a bus crash Wednesday afternoon.
Donations to the fund can be made on the church's website.
"People from as far as Norway and Germany have been moved by the Spirit of the Lord to contact our church and offer everything from kind words to financial support," Pastor Brad McLean said. "Any funds we receive will go directly to the families impacted by this unfortunate tragedy."
The bus was carrying a group of the church's senior adults returning home from a three-day retreat. A truck veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into the bus, killing 13 of the 14 passengers. The one survivor from the bus and the driver of the truck both remain in the hospital.
The Associated Press reported that a witness told officers that the driver of the truck admitted that he was texting at the time of the crash and repeatedly apologized.
The NTSB is still investigating the crash.
