Dan and Fran Keller, who served more than 21 years in prison after they were wrongly convicted in a 'satanic day care' case, will receive $3.4 million from a state fund that is designated for those who have been wrongly convicted of crimes, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

The Kellers received the news as they stood outside of the Williamson County Jail Tuesday to support Greg Kelley, who was released on bond after being convicted of sexually assaulting a child in 2014, the Statesman said.

Keith Hampton, the Kellers' lawyer, told the Statesman that the couple will collect two checks totaling $3.44 million from the state comptroller's office on Wednesday.

The Kellers were accused of performing satanic rituals on children in their care. In 1992 they were convicted of child sexual assault. They were declared innocent in June 2017.
