AUSTIN – Patrons of the Southeast Branch of the Austin Public Library will have limited access to resources while renovations are done.
The Austin Public Library said the branch, located at 5803 Nuckols Crossing Road, will close starting Sept. 18 so the building’s foundation may be repaired. The work is expected to take around six months, and during that time patrons will be able to get some resources from the nearby Dove Springs Recreation Center. The bookmobile will also be available Tuesdays-Thursdays at the recreation center for the duration of the library’s closure.
The Pleasant Hill Branch at 211 East William Cannon Drive and Ruiz Branch at 1600 Grove Boulevard are the two closest library branches to the Southeast Branch.
