AUSTIN – The Austin City Council will hold a special meeting Monday morning to focus on the city manager search.

The city said the meeting will begin at 8:45 a.m. Nov. 20 in the Boards and Commissions Room at City Hall. The agenda states the executive session will “discuss legal and personnel issues related to the search for and appointment of a new city manager.”

The city on Nov. 13 said it would delay releasing the finalist list for the position after one of the candidates withdrew their name from consideration. The city manager position has been vacant since Marc Ott resigned in 2016 for a position in Washington, D.C. Elaine Hart has been the interim city manager since Ott’s departure.
