Circuit of the Americas (COTA) has given the Spring League the boot.

After failing to receive an executed contract or payment, COTA notified the Spring League to find another location for its scrimmages, according to a COTA spokeperson.

A COTA spokeperson said the Spring League reportedly sold 500 tickets through the league's ticketing service. They added any ticket purchases or refunds should be directed to the Spring League.

KVUE reached out to Brian Woods, CEO of the Spring League, who said the league will be moving to Kelly Reeves Stadium in Round Rock. Woods said fans could go directly to the league's online ticket site to request a refund.

Woods released this statement Friday:

"My primary concern is the safety of our players; we need an adequate playing surface, locker facilities, showers and more. It goes without saying that COTA is great venue. However, Kelly Reeves Stadium is better equipped to host The Spring League in 2018."

Woods sent KVUE the 2018 schedule, which can be viewed here:

Johnny Manziel announced his return to football via Twitter in Feb., stating he would join the Spring League in Austin.
