After the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, local businesses in Central Texas are doing their part to support their flood-ridden neighbors on the east coast.

The Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), Tito's Handmade Vodka and C3 Presents (along with any other businesses or individuals that/who want to contribute) are working to fill an 18-wheeler with clean-up supplies, toiletries, and water for Matthew survivors in St. Augustine, Fla. by Saturday, Oct. 15.

"It's our responsibility to lend a hand to those in need," said Amy Lukken of Tito's Handmade Vodka.

"We just want to encourage other businesses to just do very similar to what they're doing and organizing a relief party, so to speak, and raise up the supplies that are needed, so we can give to our neighbors," said Daniel Geraci, Executive Director of the ADRN.

Supplies can be dropped off at Hope Family Thrift Store at 1122 East 51st Street, Austin, Texas between 10a.m. and 5p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 through Saturday, Oct. 15.

Supplies needed include:

  • New undergarments
  • New socks
  • Toiletries
  • New bed pillows
  • New blankets
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Black trash bags
  • Mops and buckets
  • Utility knives
