After Williamson County District Attorney Jana Duty was recused from the case of Crispin Harmel a few weeks ago, on Tuesday the judge set the next trial date to April.

Harmel is accused of strangling Jessika Kalaher in 2009 after following her out of a Cedar Park Walmart.

Harmel's case ended in a mistrial when the judge ruled that Duty did not share evidence with the defense. Duty was recused from the case after she violated a gag order, putting her in jail for a few days back in August of 2015.

Now, new prosecutors from the attorney general's office will take over. The judge in the case set the next date for April in order to give the lawyers time to "catch up."

Harmel will not face double jeopardy -- being prosecuted for the same offense.
