A 17-year-old is currently in custody for allegedly robbing three people at gunpoint near the Liberal Arts and Science Academy Thursday afternoon.

According to an affidavit obtained by KVUE, Kelvin Holmes approached three males near the 7100 block of Crystalbrook Drive behind a brick wall where they were hanging out. When they refused to give him marijuana, they said Holmes pulled out a gun and aimed it at them. Holmes then allegedly demanded that they put their cell phones, wallets and other belongings inside a backpack.

After Holmes "released them," the three alleged victims flagged down an officer and told him what happened. An officer detained Holmes and found a gun on him.

When an officer spoke with Holmes, he admitted to pointing the gun at them and taking their phones and wallets, according to the affidavit. In front of one of the officers, Holmes allegedly said "he was only joking with the victims and attempted to give back their belongings," the affidavit said.

Holmes is currently in custody with a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, a first degree felony.
