3 men linked to New Orleans sex assault may be in Austin-area, police say

Three men who police said are wanted in connected to a sexual assault that happened in New Orleans in 2017 are believed to live in Texas and may be in the Austin-area, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

According to NOPD, a woman reported the alleged sexual assault on Nov. 25, 2017. She said she was on Bourdon Street when she met a man. She then said she went to a hotel room in the 100 block of Decatur Street, where she said she was sexually assaulted by several men who entered the room. She said after the assault, she was forced from the room. She then said she called a friend and filed a police report.

Police said Patrick Mooney, 25, was arrested on March 7, 2018 and charged with aggravated rape in connection to the alleged assault.

Three other men, who police believe live in Texas, are being sought in connection to the incident. They were identified by police as David Campbell, Niall Carr and James Palmer.
