HBO bringing Westworld to Austin during SXSW

HBO will build a two-acre Westworld themed space outside of Austin during SXSW.

It's a Westworld fan's dream made into reality.

During the South by Southwest music festival, HBO will build the Westworld town, Sweetwater, right outside of Austin.

According to Entertainment Weekly, HBO rented two acres of land to recreate "The Coronado Hotel" and "Mariposa Saloon" during the "Live Without Limits Weekend" experience.

Guests will leave Austin, get picked up in the "Delos Shuttle" and get assigned a black or white hat. Fans will get to interact with park "hosts" while indulging in the western-themed space, with food and beverages included.

The park is open for a limited time: March 9 through 11. Unfortunately, the tickets are already sold out.

This isn't the first time a company has brought to life a popular television show during SXSW.

In 2017, the AMC show "Breaking Bad" brought its fictional fried chicken joint, "Los Pollos Hermanos", to downtown Austin.
