Two people were arrested in connection to a jewelry store robbery near Sam Bass Road and Interstate 35 late Wednesday morning.

Round Rock police identified the suspects as Bryan Christopher Everage, 31, and Elkaneh Emmanuel Hendrix, 35.

RRPD said they were called to Stall Jeweler’s around 11:50 a.m. for the robbery. Witnesses told officers that two armed men entered the store and held the employees at gunpoint. One of the suspects took an employee into the back of the store and fired a gunshot into the ground.

Officers arrived at the scene as the suspects fled on a motorcycle going northbound on the southbound frontage road. As police pursued the motorcycle, one of the suspects pointed a weapon at officers several times, RRPD said.

Because of the urgency of the situation, an officer struck the motorcycle as it turned onto FM 620 and both of the suspects fell to the ground. The driver of the motorcycle was apprehended and the passenger fled on foot to a nearby parking lot. Officers pursued and caught the suspect.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

Everage and Hendrix were both charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, aggravated assault against a public servant and aggravated robbery.

The incident remains under investigation.
