Police and the FBI are investigating after a man reportedly fired several rounds into the ceiling during a Wednesday morning bank robbery.

Temple police said officers were dispatched to the Temple Santa Fe Credit Union along West Avenue A around 9:05 a.m. Wednesday. The complainant said a white man wearing a mask and dark clothing entered the bank carrying what appeared to be an AK-47 style weapon, fired multiple rounds into the ceiling and demanded money. The robber then fled in a silver or gray Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab pickup in an unknown direction. TPD said the Ram was a 1998 to early 2000 model.

No injuries were reported in the robbery. A more detailed description of the robber was not available as of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
