AUSTIN, Texas — Another mixed-use development is transforming the Tech Ridge area in northeast Austin.

According to Community Impact, crews broke ground earlier this month on Parmer Village. It's being constructed off Parmer Lane near Harris Ridge Boulevard.

The 19-acre site will ultimately bring more than 200 homes, an apartment complex, a hotel and retail space. The 400,000-square-foot site will include 11 buildings for restaurants, storefronts and office space.

Across from the Samsung plant in the area, EastVillage is also planned. That $1 billion project will have more than 2,000 single and multi-family homes, three hotels, 37,000 square feet of grocery space, a 38,000-square-foot movie theater, a 1.4-acre "village green," a 150-acre naturally wooded preserve and more
