3 new developments planned for Kyle

The three developments will be located in the Hays Commerce Center, 100 acres of parceled land off Interstate 35.

KYLE, Texas — The City of Kyle is continuing to grow. The City's Economic Development Department has partnered with HPI Real Estate Services and Investments to bring three major developments to the community.

The developments, which will be located in the Hays Commerce Center, will create an additional 380,000-plus square feet of commercial-industrial warehouse and office space.

The City said Hays Logistics Center Building 2 is a 206,000-square-foot development primed for large e-commerce distributors with features like cross-dock loading and unloading and a large truck court area for high-traffic distribution and fulfillment needs.

Hays Commerce Center Building 3 is a 68,240-square-foot building with "flexible speculative suites" ranging from 11,800 to 68,240 square feet. The building, which is suited for office and warehouse needs, is projected to be ready by the end of this year.

Hays Commerce Center Building 4 is a 106,673-square-foot building with 53,166 square feet available that is projected to be ready by the end of the year. It will feature, among other things, oversized loading ramps and a 180-foot truck court that spans between the Hays Commerce Center 3 and 4 buildings.

"Our goal for Kyle is for it to be a place that’s more than home, which involves creating a thriving local economy that attracts quality businesses and employers so that residents can live and work in their community," said Diana Blank-Torres, director of Kyle's Economic Development Department. "We’re excited to see the continued growth and availability of speculative space in Kyle because it only enhances our ability to attract and retain quality companies and employers."

Davis Bass, an HPI industrial project partner, said the diversity of the space being developed will allow the area to accommodate a growing range of industrial tenants looking to serve the Austin-San Antonio region.

The entire Hays Commerce Center is 100 acres of parceled land off Interstate 35 in the northwest corner of Kyle. HPI Real Estate Services and Investments, in partnership with the City, broke ground on the project in 2018.
