JARRELL, Texas — Austin's northern suburbs continue to expand to offer more affordable housing options.
KB Home announced it will expand the Sonterra master plan with three new single-family home communities in the Jarrell area: Cool Water, Eastwood and Rio Lobo. The communities will be located about 40 miles north of Downtown Austin along Interstate 35.
The homes will include design elements like gourmet kitchens, expansive great rooms, walk-in closets and spacious lofts. The one- and two-story floor plans feature up to five bedrooms and 3.5 baths and range in size from approximately 1,000 to 2,800 square feet.
Amenities will include a pool, clubhouse, basketball court, parks and walking trails.
No prices are listed online for homes in the Rio Lobo community, but homes start in the $240,000 range for the Eastwood community and the $220,000 range for the Cool Water community.
