This mom took her love for Chick-fil-A to a whole new level

With her second baby on the way, Liz Smith held a hilarious maternity photoshoot at her favorite restaurant.

KATY, Texas – Liz Smith doesn’t shy away from her addiction to Chick-fil-A.

There are times she might eat there twice a day. Smith (mostly) sticks to the same order: a chicken sandwich (or nuggets), French fries (the best fries) and a large unsweet tea (every time). At one point, she ate there so much that she earned enough rewards points that she treated her co-workers to a lunch.

For all her love for chicken sandwiches and nuggets and fries and unsweet tea, Smith took her Chick-fil-A fandom to a new level. With her second baby on the way, Smith held a maternity photoshoot at her favorite restaurant.

“If I’m eating Chick-fil-A this much, why not just do it,” she said. “You don’t know if you’re going to have another baby again.”

Photos: Must see! Liz Smith's Chick-fil-A maternity pictures

Smith, a special education teacher with Cy-Fair ISD, posed inside the restaurant with boxes of nuggets and a milkshake. There are photos with her and her 3-year-old daughter, Avery, who’s also a Chick-fil-A fan. Mom, dad and Avery frequently visit Chick-fil-A Saturday mornings for breakfast.

The Chick-fil-A cow mascot even got involved. The two held up a baby onesie reading “little nugget,” and of the cow holding a pair of baby shoes while Smith gives him a loving smile. And there is, of course, the most cliché maternity photo of all: Smith and the cow holding her belly with their heart-shaped hands.

Yes, Smith is well aware of how outrageous the photoshoot was, but that’s what she said made it all the more fun. And if she was going to do it, she planned to go all out.

“I don’t think (the cow) knew what he was getting into,” Smith said, laughing. “It was a blast. It was a lot of fun with my daughter and the ladies at Chick-fil-A were wonderful.”

What’s her husband think of it all?

“He thought it was hilarious,” Smith said. “He’s had to get used to eating Chick-fil-A nightly.”

And the photographer?

“I was all on board,” said Ellie Buczkowski, who runs Ellie B Photography. “We were all giggling and having a good time.”

Verify: Does Chick-fil-A give expecting moms free food?

Photoshoots at a fast food restaurant isn’t particularly a new idea. A Houston family had photos taken of their 1-year-old son with Whataburger. And Kristen Johnston, a 31-year-old then mom-to-be, took maternity photos at a Taco Bell.

At 36 weeks pregnant, Smith and family are ready for their little girl to come at any time.

And after she does, Smith said her first meal will be—you guessed it—Chick-fil-A.
