News has been in Brandon Jones’ blood as far back as he can remember. He still remembers coming home when he was 10-years-old and being glued to the television as he watched the coverage of the Oklahoma City bombings.
It was at that point that Jones realized journalism was the career for him.
Jones graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in 2006. His first on-air news job was in Beaumont, Texas. After two years in Beaumont, Jones moved to Greensboro, North Carolina as a reporter for WGHP Fox 8.
Jones said he decided he wanted to work as an anchor and took a job at WTOL in Toledo. Still, being away from the Lone Star State became too much for Jones. He returned to Texas in 2015 when he joined the KVUE team where he said he’s proud to be a part of the Central Texas community.
