High school heroin in the Heights?
Two former Alamo Heights High School students were arrested on allegations of selling illegal drugs, including heroin, to minors in Alamo Heights.
The fact that it wasn't just marijuana allegedly distributed is raising eyebrows among parents. And the district tells KENS 5 that they are not stopping with these arrests.
The busts didn't happen overnight. For the past seven months, parents and students helped the Alamo Heights Police Department track two men accused of selling illegal drugs to students outside school grounds.
Police say former Alamo Heights High School student Antonio Arevalo, 24, admitted to selling heroin to current students at the school.
Police also executed a search warrant at another former student's home, Justin Diggs, 25.
The district says had it not been for a proactive community effort, the arrests would not have been possible. More arrests could follow.
