Motorcyclist critically injured in New Braunfels crash

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- A 43-year-old New Braunfels man was critically injured in an early morning motorcycle crash between New Braunfels and Seguin.

New Braunfels police say they were called to State Highway 46 and Krause Lane around 12:40 a.m. Dec. 1 for the crash. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, lost control as he was going northbound on SH 46. NBPD added no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The man was airlifted to the San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition. A police spokesman said SH 46 was closed for more than an hour to investigate the crash, and that the road reopened around 2 a.m. Friday.

NBPD said that while the crash remains under investigation, no charges are expected to be filed as of Friday morning.
