Tyler Sieswerda anchors KVUE News at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. along with Christine Haas and Olga Campos. Tyler arrived at KVUE in April 2005. Prior to living in Austin, Tyler was a fill-in anchor/reporter at WSB, the ABC affiliate in Atlanta. His first job out of college was at KJCT, the ABC affiliate in Grand Junction Colorado, where he anchored, reported, produced and even did the weather. From there Tyler went to KFOX in El Paso, Texas where he was the primary anchor for three years at this start-up Fox affiliate. Then it was on to KSAZ, the Fox affiliate in Phoenix, where he was the weekend anchor and reporter for three years. Tyler is an award winning journalist. He has been honored with a Southwest Emmy Award for Best Newscast, an Edward R. Murrow Award, 2 Katie Awards for Best Newscast, a Texas Gavel Award, and numerous Texas and New Mexico AP awards. Tyler is a native of Atlanta. He spent 7 years living in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a child, then it was home to Atlanta. Tyler received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from the State University of West Georgia. In his spare time, Tyler loves to travel, spend time with friends, play golf and hang out with his dog Griffey. He is looking forward to exploring Austin and can’t wait to get out on all the lakes..
