Tyler Sieswerda anchors KVUE News at 5, 6, and 10 p.m. In addition to anchoring the nightly news, Tyler has also reported live from many big stories that affect Austin -- from hurricanes along the Gulf Coast, to national politics in New Hampshire, to the University of Texas National Championship game in California.

Tyler arrived at KVUE in 2005. Prior to Austin, He was an anchor/reporter at WSB, the ABC affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia. His first job out of college was at KJCT, the ABC affiliate in Grand Junction Colorado, where he anchored, reported, produced and even did the weather. From there Tyler went to KFOX in El Paso, Texas as the primary anchor at this start-up Fox affiliate. Then it was on to KSAZ, the Fox affiliate in Phoenix, where he was the weekend anchor and reporter.

During his career Tyler has been honored with a Southwest Emmy Award for Best Newscast, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and two Katie Awards for Best Newscast, a Texas Gavel Award, and numerous Texas and New Mexico AP awards.

Tyler is a native of Atlanta and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from the State University of West Georgia. In his spare time, Tyler loves to travel, spend time with friends and family, eat, taste new wines, and hang out with his dogs Griffey and Jake.
