KVUE News Team
Elise Hu joined KVUE as its political reporter in September of 2006. Originally from St. Louis, Elise grew up near Dallas. Her first television newsroom was our Dallas sister station, WFAA-TV. As an intern, she traveled around the country as part of Belo's election coverage team. Her time away from Belo stations was spent reporting at WYFF-TV in Greenville, SC, KWTX-TV in Waco and KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. Elise graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri, with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in college, she spent six months overseas, writing for The Taipei Times. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and a member of the Asian American Journalists Association. When she's not working, Elise enjoys traveling, watching C-SPAN in the middle of the night, or talking politics with her boyfriend Matt, who is also a political reporter. If you have a story idea for Elise, drop her a note at ehu@kvue.com. |
