Nicole Rosales

Meet reporter Nicole Rosales

Nicole joined KVUE's team as a multimedia journalist in November 2015.

Nicole grew up in Dallas and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television and Film from the University of North Texas. She worked as a reporter, anchor and producer for the Emmy-winning news station, North Texas Television.

While in college she was a production intern for Frozen Fire Films and Texas Country Reporter, as well as a news intern for KXAS-NBC 5 in Dallas and Fort Worth. After completing her internship with NBC 5, Nicole was hired on as a production assistant for the evening newscasts.

Before graduating, she was offered a reporter position at WALB News 10 in Albany, Georgia. Nicole spent two years as the morning live reporter covering breaking news overnight.

She was one of the first reporters on the scene at Florida State University where a gunman entered the library and began shooting, injuring three students and forcing the school to go on lockdown for several hours. The position pushed her to think quickly and become self-reliant and a sharp problem solver.

Nicole also anchored and helped produce the morning show, Today in Georgia. Now, she’s back in Texas and is excited to call Austin her new home!
