I began my career working as an intern for KABB-TV, the Fox affiliate in San Antonio, Texas while studying at the University of Texas at San Antonio -- Go Runners! I credit the foundation of my skills to my education at UTSA.
After graduation, I spent the next couple of years working in Houston, Texas. I started as a feature reporter and web editor for News92FM, the first all-news radio station on the FM dial in Houston. After my time at News92FM, I continued working as a web editor for KPRC Channel 2. While working there, I was surrounded by amazing journalists who were fulfilling their dreams, which encouraged me to do the same.
So, I packed my bags and moved to Abilene, Texas where I landed my first on-air job. This is where I truly grew into the journalist I am today. I produced, wrote, edited, reported and anchored for our all-Spanish newscast, Telemundo. After some time, I moved over to our English station, KRBC News, where I wore all the same hats. No one can put a price on the amount of experience I gained while working there. I truly loved getting to meet and understand people from all walks of life and sharing their stories.
I was born in Monterrey, Mexico but raised in Houston, Texas. However, I could not be more happy to be living in beautiful Austin, Texas! I consider myself blessed to report on such an important topic -- Austin traffic -- and being at the forefront of this evolving issue.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, running, traveling, reading everything from the Wall Street Journal to the latest issue of Vogue and meeting new people around town.
Please feel free to reach out to me with your traffic concerns and any feedback by emailing me at email@example.com, following me on Twitter or by liking my Facebook page.
