I can thank my mom for getting my foot in the broadcasting door. She helped me get my first broadcasting job at a Big Band radio station in my hometown of Allen, Texas. She knew I'd be hooked.
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Electronic News Media, where I worked for both the university and the city television stations. My next stop was Beaumont, Texas where I started as a photographer and quickly moved up to reporter and fill-in anchor.
Next, my career took me to El Paso, Texas, where I first served as the morning anchor/reporter and ended as an evening anchor. There, I covered military, local government corruption and border issues.
Now I'm here!! Just like the rest of the world, I've wanted to move to Austin for years and I couldn't be happier. It not only puts me in the prime area for great swimming holes, hiking and entertainment, but also, I'm closer to my family than I have been in years.
Thank you for welcoming me to Austin!
